Game Description

Abnormal1999: The Compass and the Sand is a tough mystery puzzle game. You play as “Ann,” who has been sent away to a mysterious land by a compass.

Your goal is to explore this strange place, unlock the secrets of the land, activate the compass, and escape. Ann is determined to leave, knowing that Sam or SU might find her one day, but she must find a way out on her own first.

You can switch between first-person and third-person views as you explore and solve puzzles. The game doesn’t give much guidance because it was developed by one person, so it’s up to you to figure things out. There is no deduction involved, only pure puzzle-solving.

The Abnormal1999 series is a collection of independent games made by QZQ Studio, mixing sci-fi, quantum mechanics, and the multiverse. The games combine exploration, horror, puzzles, and reasoning.

The main character, SU, can travel through the fourth dimension and different parallel universes. She is trying to find out what happened and how to get back home, facing different challenges and alternate realities along the way.

The series is updated monthly, with The Compass and the Sand being the sixth episode in the first season. This episode focuses on difficult mystery puzzles that will test your skills.

How to play Abnormal1999 on Windows 7?

Run “KexSetup_x64Rel.exe” from “_Windows 7 Fix” folder and install that extension
Open “Ab06\Binaries\Win64\Ab06-Win64-Shipping.exe” file properties in Explorer, then “VxKex” tab
Check “Enable VxKex for this program” and “Report a different version of Windows, Windows 10” checkboxes, Apply, OK
Run the game as usual
